Over the past decade you have might have heard about Fourteen19®, seen us at events or even scrolled past one of our posts. But do you know what we do and if we can be of benefit to you or your organisation?
For many people we are “something to do with young people” but we are much more than that.
We asked our Head of Agency Graham Sykes to explain:
“Officially we are 'a strategic/creative youth agency with over 25 years’ experience promoting opportunities to teens & young adults and encouraging them to engage with beneficial products and services.'
“However, whenever you read things like this back – you always start to worry that some people will be no clearer. As marketers (or branders, ‘comms’ people, youth engagers – choose your own preferred description), we are always guilty of dressing things up in elaborate, technical, jargonistic language. Sadly, it’s what we have to do – because if you don’t play the game, you lose credibility against your competitors.
"So in simple terms, think of us as the agency that helps organisations overcome the challenges of engaging young people.
"This will either be in a ‘strategic’ way (i.e. start with a blank piece of paper and create a ‘plan’ to deliver set objectives) or it will be in a ‘creative’ way (i.e. develop campaigns and content that will enable the ‘plan’ to be delivered). In one simplified sentence I’ve described about three months work – which is why I permanently risk being kicked out of the marketing practitioner’s union!
All our strategic and creative activity is undertaken with the involvement of young people. Whether we are consulting with them to gain their unique insight as part of the ‘strategic process’, or involving them in the ‘creative’ process to ensure all activity is “youth approved” – they play an unique role in our output.
In exchange for working with us, we offer a range of employment opportunities ranging from paid positions, cv-enhancing opportunities, personal mentoring and job references."
If you would like to know more about Fourteen19® – please drop us a message and we can discuss how we could specifically help yourself or your organisation.
